This question doesn't make sense? What shacks...
Looks like 11am-7pm Monday through Thursday, 11am-8pm Friday and Saturday, and 11-6 Sunday
I’ve been curious for a long time. I had a chili cheese hotdog. It was very bad to put it nicely. I will never eat here again. If you’ve been curious; do yourself a favor and please keep driving.
Great food! Bus is such a unique place to eat!
I’m sad that the food was not good, took hubby for the first time and was very disappointing. Overpriced we paid $20 for 2 chili cheese dogs one with fries the other tater tots and a sweet tea. The sides and tea were excellent but the chili was flavorless. We would have been better off going to Checkers🤷🏽♀️
You can tell that the sides are not made from scratch and that makes this place just average. The burger is decent but I wouldn’t make the drive for frozen fries, no seating and an average burger. Not the worst but nowhere near amazing. It had the potential to be a rare gem but it’s just missing too many elements of quality for that.
Great food! Went during COVID-19 restrictions. Limited parking. Nice area. Bus looked cool but could not dine in. Food is cooked in the building behind the bus. Not a bad price for the food. What is pictured was $26.31 (no drinks). 4/5 stars because I didn't get to see the inside and burger patties were on the thin side.
Great place for friends and family. The burgers ate really tasty and the atmosphere is hip. Young and old alike will enjoy this place.
This place has the best burgers in town!
When visiting or driving through Ball Ground, you definitely need to try Ball Ground Burger Bus. The burgers are delicious, service is great and the unique dine in experience is fun. Will definitely recommend and visit Ball Ground Burger Bus.
Great atmosphere and superb food. Try unique items like the Dad's on Death Row or the Fried Green Jacket! Also a great selection of craft beers, and they offer a dollar off if you order one while you wait. The dining room is the inside of the bus so seating is limited and there is often a wait, but well worth it for the experience!
You need a big mouth to eat the Dad's on Death Row Hercules Burger. Very good, extremely nice environment. Not super quick, and expect to be waiting most days as it is a hot spot, but less so on rainy days. Limited seating, only get one fry basket for two people, otherwise you won't finish it.
Absolutely loved this place. The burger did take a long time to cook so make sure your not in a hurry. Took almost 40 minutes to get my burger. So don't be in a hurry when you go here. It was fantastic though. You get to sit in the bus. It was unique for sure.
Simply awesome!! Great concept, delicious food, very nice staff. Glad to see downtown Ball Ground becoming a nice area to hang out! Vegetarians and vegans: yes, they do have a veggie burger and it is amazing. Note: that place is very popular, if you dont want to wait for a table, grab to go food and enjoy it on picnic tables outside!l
Excellent food, great atmosphere, a unique dining experience, and well worth the trip. Check out their guacamole burger, onion rings were crispy with a yummy dipping sauce. It's locally owned and operated.
The food is pretty good, maybe 3 out of 5. The employee failed to inform guest, "burger doesn't come with fries". We waited 30 minutes, paid 30+ dollars and got 1 kid burger w/ fry, a veggie wrap no fries, and 2 normal burgers without fries. Frankfurt Donor and Meats wad closed =(
Delicious burgers, great service, local brews, and a cool story. This joint was the highlight of our travel day. Highly recommend the Dad's on Death Row burger. Holy cow.
Great Burgers & Dogs! Great Service! My wife and I love this place and go here when we visit Ball Ground. The Burger Bus has some great options on their menu and terrific sides. Whatever you get you can't go wrong.
Best burger I've had. The harmony of flavors blend perfectly with the fresh beef. The dining space is a must see! Old-school 1948 bus turned into a must dine-in experience, and there is plenty outdoor seating to enjoy the small town charm of Ball Ground.
Honestly, it was just okay. We went in on a week night and it was not busy. Maybe it was just what I ordered, and maybe I had higher expectations. But nothing really fabulous here. I can honestly say that I wouldn't drive back over for the food, however, the service was good. Good luck! It was a pretty cool place though, I'll give them that.
After driving by on several occasions, we stopped in for a late lunch. Sitting in the bus was fun. Our tater tot side with chilli and cheese was excellent, with crispy tots. Burgers were average. I was hoping to write a better good review given the unique setting in this historic town. We'll try again, so maybe next time.
The food was very good. I got the hamburger with guacamole on it and tater tots. The portions are good size. It did take a long time to get the food
The chef needs to up his game. The pimiento cheese is mayonnaise soup with a little cheese. The chili has very little flavor. They seem to have an aversion to vegetables. You can order deep fried and greasy but nothing healthy. The veggie patty (so-called) is rice with cheese on it. They said it had lentils. We didn’t see any. Menu sounds like gourmet burgers. Reality is we’d have been better off at a fast food chain. On a positive note the beer selection is good and the onion rings are great.
Fun place to eat. Good burgers, very long wait. Didn't notice until I got home that we were charged a "non cash" fee. I had tipped them generously. We are business people ourselves and credit card transactions are fairly common. Actually, VERY common. Ever heard of them? I find this to be extremely unprofessional. Surprising.
Yummy!! The kids (and parents) favorite afternoon pick!! Love everything they make and the environment is so much fun!!
Great food. Fantastic experience. I felt like was on a little trip with the people around us. Good for the soul...
This was our first time there and probably the last time, plus waited 15 mins for our food, My kids hot dog and fries were cold, my burger was over season, the sweet tea wasn't sweet at all.
Ball Ground is a small town with limited restaurants and attractions, so be sure to check the Burger Bus. A full restaurant built around an historic bus, with seating in the actual bus. The burgers were fairly priced for the portions and quality of beef that you get, and you can make any style burger a "Hercules" with double meat. Our server was a really nice young man who was knowledgeable and conversational and gave great recommendations. It is a neat attraction and we would come back for sure!
Amazing burgers! Unique atmosphere and great service.
It's a great place for a family, or a group of friends. I had no idea Ball Ground had something like this. Really helps to liven up downtown Ball Ground. Good location, great venue to eat. The bus is awesome. Staff is nice and cordial. I'd go again. I got the Dad's on Death row burger. Awesome for a first try. My wife had the fried green jacket. Fries were EXCELLENT!!! It's a la carte but it's good. I thought the burgers would be bigger because of the price. But you could always go Hercules. Still, great place.
Have been past the Burger Bus a thousand times and finally had the chance to stop for lunch. Was the perfect place to take our grandson for a fun bite to eat. He eat every bite as did my wife and I. That should speak for itself and I expect the rest of the menu to be just as tasty.
This place is worth visiting. They have large portions for fair prices. Constantly neat and with good character. Will come visit again.
We visited at lunch on a Tuesday, and Taylor was our server. She was ebullient and efficient! The food was fresh and delicious--big, tasty burgers and probably the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had. Cute atmosphere and excellent service--we would definitely return!
Food was delicious and the scenery/feel of the restaurant was awesome. I willd definitely be back for a weekend trip to Ball Ground just for the Burger Bus!
Cool environment....... Good food and the servers are always on point!
Very cool atmosphere and good burger choices in a vintage bus makes for a fun experience. The service was fast and friendly and we literally sat and ate inside a trolly bus from Atlanta. Make sure to read up on the history. But you ultimately come here for burgers. Even though it’s locally sourced beef and with good bread the burger was still overcooked. It had good flavor but didn’t have that juicy consistency you would expect. That alone keeps it from being 5 star. Otherwise it was a blast and I will try them again to see if it’s fixed.
I got the Guacamole Burger and it was very tasty! The bun was soft, the guac was the perfect balance of salt and citrus, the burger patty was cooked perfectly! Very cool atmosphere!
I really enjoyed the ambience of this place. Sitting in a bus doesn't sound great on the surface, but it's actually awesome. The tables were a nice solid hard wood. Our waitress was very welcoming. The burgers on the menu are insane in a good way. I got the one with fried green tomatoes on it.
Definitely a unique experience. You are eating inside a bus!!!We went here after spending the morning at Gibbs Garden. The food and service here is great. Due to the small quarters, going here with a group of 4+ is going to be tricky. The staff will make it work and the food and atmosphere is worth it
Unique burger joijt in Ball Ground. A fun themed burger joint with GREAT prices and outstanding burgers. All 3 of the burgers were great, you can't go wrong with any of them. Highly recommend the fries too. Nice crunch on the outside while soft inside. We were also impressed with the selection of local craft brewed beers.
Went for lunch during the week and didn’t have to wait, sat on the bus at the counter very cool. Super cute atmosphere! The food was really good and filling, I think the price was fair. The reason for the 4 is the wait time for the food, it took a long time for our burgers to come out and it was busy but not that crazy. Our bill was just about $25 for two of us for lunch including tip so not bad!
The line was long and it was long for a reason. The burgers are full of flavor and cooked to perfection. Ordered the Doc's Guac and a side of tater tots.
Excellent food at a reasonable price. My son and I very much enjoyed eating inside the unique bus. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Also, our Server Amber was very professional and provided excellent service. Will definitely be back for more. Thanks Burger Bus!
Great service. Awesome burgers. And you can't beat the opportunity to dine in an authentic Atlanta trackless trolley bus. So cool! Great shops to visit on main Street Ball Ground as well to walk off the burger and tots!!!
We love the burger bus. The food is great and I personally love the dads on death row burger. The egg on the burger is cooked just right and I love the pepper all over it. The atmosphere is great as well. The only small complaint I have is I just wish the staff was a little more friendly.
When we're on road trips, we routinely go out of our way to come here. The food is super yummy and the staff is awesome. Big recommendation!
They were awesome me and my sister stop there and had lunch I would definitely recommend food there
To be honest I was not very please with the food. The burger was not worth it, and the veggie burger was extremely dry. However, the design and interior of the bus is really cool.
Love this place. First time coming and already planning on coming back. Great customer service and great food. Great views. Definitely recommend this place.
So good! The burgers are delicious and the service is absolutely amazing. We loved having lunch in the cozy bus. Just really really good!
Great service with a cool atmosphere. The sides were great. The only comment we have is the additions to the burgers (beans, chips, etc) take away from the burger flavor. I didn't taste any beef on my Lonestar. My wife's vege burger was good but was missing something flavorful. We will be back but probably for just a burger without any additions.
Overall the experience was good and I'm glad I went. Burgers were not as outstanding as the hype lead me to believe - though don't get me wrong, it's good food and at prices you come to expect from other burger joints. Tots were a nice change from fries and onion rings, but even they were a tad soggy. Service was friendly, and I ate outside so I can't speak to the experience of being in the bus - though with COVID-19 on the loose, I'm not sure I would want to anytime soon. Definitely worth a visiting once and going from there
